Upon arrival at Santo Domingo International Airport, the team will give the group a warm welcome. To ensure a smooth and comfortable start to the journey, pilgrims will have a private transfer exclusively for the group directly to Hotel Novus Plaza, facilitating the handling of their luggage. Free afternoon to settle in and rest.
Spirituality of the day – Opening our hearts to a new beginning: We begin this experience by leaving behind the burdens, worries, and fatigue of the previous year, preparing our souls to receive the new things God wishes to accomplish in each pilgrim. This first day will be an invitation to trust, let go, and begin 2027 with hope.
January 24 | Historical and Cultural Immersion in the Colonial Zone
After enjoying breakfast, we will enter the historical heart of the country with a guided tour of the iconic Colonial Zone, a treasure declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the impressive First Cathedral of the Americas, the National Pantheon, the Amber Museum, and the Museum of the Royal Houses.
There will be free time to purchase beautiful local handicrafts before sharing a traditional lunch, which is included. Return to the hotel for rest.
Spirituality of the day – Recognizing our roots of faith: This day invites us to view history not only as a memory of the past, but also as an opportunity to give thanks for the path traveled by those who planted the seeds of faith before us. At the First Cathedral of the Americas, we will offer a special prayer for our families, for Colombia, and for the beginning of this new year.
January 25 | A Day of Reflection and Faith
After breakfast, we will dedicate the day to the essence of our pilgrimage. We will visit two of the city’s most important spiritual sites: the Church of Our Lady of Las Mercedes and the majestic Dominican Convent.
As the central part of the day, we will participate in the celebration of Holy Mass, subject to parish schedules. Lunch is included for the group, followed by the return to the hotel.
Spirituality of the day – Mercy, inner freedom, and truth: At the Church of Our Lady of Las Mercedes, we will place our bonds, wounds, fears, and inner burdens in Mary’s hands, asking for her intercession so that we may attain spiritual freedom. At the Dominican Convent, a place connected to teaching, preaching, and the search for truth, we will ask for the grace to live this new year with greater clarity, wisdom, and faithfulness to God.
January 26 | Transition to Paradise: On the Way to Punta Cana
We will begin the day with breakfast before boarding our private transportation, leaving behind the historical richness of the capital as we travel toward the idyllic landscapes of Punta Cana.
Upon arrival at Hotel Catalonia, we will be welcomed with the resort’s excellent hospitality. The remainder of the afternoon will be free to settle in and begin enjoying the exceptional benefits of the All-Inclusive plan.
Spirituality of the day – Resting is also trusting in God: Our journey to Punta Cana reminds us that rest is also part of God’s plan. Not every rebirth occurs through effort; many times, the soul is restored when it learns to pause, breathe, contemplate, and give thanks. This day will be an invitation to receive creation as a gift and allow God to renew our strength.
January 27 | Pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia
This will be one of the most meaningful days of our itinerary. After breakfast, we will travel to the city of Higüey to visit the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia, the most important Marian shrine in the Dominican Republic.
We will have a dedicated time for personal prayer, reflection, and religious activities. Afterwards, we will share a traditional Dominican lunch. Return to the hotel to enjoy dinner and rest.
January 28 | Rest and Renewal in the Caribbean
A day designed entirely for relaxation and leisure. We invite you to make the most of the resort’s exceptional facilities: immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of its private beach, enjoy the swimming pools, and delight in the varied and exquisite gastronomic offerings of its restaurants and bars, all included within the All-Inclusive plan.
Spirituality of the day – Renewing the soul through gratitude: This day will be a sacred pause to give thanks. The sea, the tranquility, the beauty of the landscape, and the fraternal sharing will be an opportunity to recognize that God also speaks through calmness. Each pilgrim may experience a personal moment of silence, prayer, or spiritual writing, responding to the question: What does God want to renew in me this year?
January 29 | Eucharist and Leisure at Your Own Pace
You will have most of the day free to continue relaxing at the hotel or participate in an optional excursion. At the previously coordinated time, we will arrange a private transfer to a nearby local church to attend Holy Mass, keeping the spirit of our pilgrimage alive. Return to the resort.
Spirituality of the day – The Eucharist, nourishment for rebirth: Holy Mass will be the spiritual center of this day. There, we will present to God everything we have experienced during the pilgrimage: the lessons learned, emotions, moments of silence, decisions, and renewed strength received. It will be an invitation to understand that we are not reborn alone, but united with Christ and nourished by His Word and by the Eucharist.
January 30 | Returning Home with Full Hearts
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, our team will coordinate the private transfer to Punta Cana International Airport to board the flight home.
End of our services, with the hope that we have provided an invaluable experience for your faith and rest.
Return flight: Avianca AV0253Route: Punta Cana – BogotáDeparture: 17:55Arrival in Bogotá: 19:35
Spirituality of the day – Returning home to live differently: We return home not only with memories, but also with an inner commitment: to live 2027 with greater faith, greater love, stronger family unity, deeper fraternity, and a renewed sense of purpose. The true fruit of a pilgrimage becomes visible upon our return, when everything we have experienced is transformed into decisions, attitudes, and a new way of walking with God.
