On the last weekend of October, visitors have the chance to take a plunge into the past, with the fantastic Giornate Medievale (Medieval Days) a magical immersion in an atmosphere of knights, noblewomen, jesters, minstrels, artisans, falconers, flag wavers, archers and much more, in which the sounds and flavours of the past will be revived, opening up a glimpse of the history of the Brindisi Montagna fiefdom, starting from the investiture in the period of the feudal fiefdom, archers and much more, in which the sounds and flavours of times gone by will be re-enacted, opening up a glimpse into the history of the fief of Brindisi Montagna, starting with the investiture, in the Angevin era, of Guidone de Foresta as ‘Primus Dominus Brundusii de Montanea et Ansiae’ (1268). This tour will offer you an authentic immersion in history, culture and nature, revealing the genuine beauty of Basilicata.

Morning

Arrival in Brindisi Montagna, check-in at the accommodation and short rest.

Depending on the period, choose one of the following activities:

Visit to the Grancia Park and Cinespettacolo "La Storia Bandita": Explore the park, rich in natural and historical attractions. Only in the summer months, live the exciting story of the resistance of Lucca, available from 6 July to 21 September 2024.

Medieval Days: Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages during the last weekend of October with historical re-enactments and evocative scenographies.

If your trip does not coincide with these events, other cultural experiences in the village of Brindisi Montagna and in the park will be available.

Lunch: Lunch with typical local dishes.

Afternoon

Visit to the historic center and the Castle Fittipaldi Antinori

Free time for local products and souvenirs.

Evening

Typical Lucanian dinner in a local restaurant, with traditional dishes.

Overnight stay at the accommodation.

- Cinespettacolo ‘The Bandit Story’: This spectacular performance is only available during the summer period, every Saturday from 6 July 2024 to 21 September 2024. We invite you to schedule your tour on these dates to witness this extraordinary event.

- Royal Poultry Workshop: Both workshops are bookable every day throughout the year. These activities offer an insight into the agricultural and dairy traditions of Basilicata, regardless of the season.

- Medieval Days: bookable on the last weekend of October.

- We recommend that you plan your visit on these dates to experience the full tour. For bookings outside this period, the tour will be enhanced by other cultural and natural activities in the Grancia Park and the village of Brindisi di Montagna.

- The facilities are equipped with wi-fi.

- Places for activities in the Grancia Park are limited and reservations are compulsory. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to guarantee availability.

- It is advisable to bring water, comfortable and practical clothing suitable for the considerably cooler evening temperatures compared to the morning.

- Prams are not allowed.

- In case some activities are not available, the experience will be adapted to the cultural and experiential proposals of the period.
